Summer Equinox Meeting, June 22, 2001

Please note even though the Summer Solstice occurred on June 21, 2001, the Gout Society Meeting took place on the 22nd.

Appetizer:

Dry Italian Country Sausage
Cornichons
Syrian Olives

 

Main Course:

Flash Grilled Free Range Venison, marinated in fresh garlic, salt and pepper
Grilled Black Angus, newport cut, salt and pepper rub
Grilled Pinwheel Pork, Cheese and Parsley Sausage

 

Side Dishes:

Grilled Vegetable Ratatouille, provençal style
Grilled Red, Green and Yellow Peppers, marinated in garlic infused olive oil
Grilled Green Zucchini and Yellow Squash, marinated in garlic infused olive oil
Chicken Brothed Rice

 

Salad:

Mixed Salad (Baby Beet, Mustard, and Spinach Leaves) with Mustard Dressing

 

Assortment of Cheeses:

Sharp White Vermont Cheddar

English Stilton

 

Dessert:

Vanilla ice cream with fresh raspberries and crumbled pound cake with a splash of Lustau Solera Reserva, Pedro Ximenez San Emilio, golden brown and very sweet smooth and luscious Sherry wine.
